This weekend car boot finds

Post by Moss Creeper »

Hi All.

Thought I'd share my car boot finds with you, spent less than a fiver.
the whipped quills are signed by Wilson?? I think. Does anyone know of this maker?
The keepnet is made from sisal? with split cane hoops its only about 2 feet long
so seems very small, but is too well made not to be for use, bait fish perhaps?
any ideas anyone? And good hunting out there!! :geek:

That's actually Wotton. There's a seller on eBay that must make them. Just search wotton floats and there's many styles.

Very nice finds, those old keep nets look good hanging in a corner of the room. I have a few nets that I hang old lures from as decoration.

What a bargain but I hope you knocked them down a bit  , don't you just love boot fairs, so much for so little.... apart from the time you put in of course. :Thumb:

I have met the maker of the Wotton floats. I used to be a member of the Wotton Underwood syndicate and one of the members collects quills from the lakeside and makes these floats.
